Short bios, media assets and key information for journalists, book bloggers and event organisers covering Patrick Guidato and the Earthsoul Saga.

Short bio

Patrick Guidato writes dark fantasy and science fantasy. In the Earthsoul Saga, he combines familiar mythologies with questions of freedom, morality, consciousness and the nature of the soul. They Call us Angels opens the first narrative cycle as dark urban fantasy and serves as the entry point into a larger interconnected universe.

Long bio

Patrick Guidato writes stories at the intersection of dark fantasy and science fantasy. His work focuses on characters forced to make choices under pressure and on questions of freedom, power, morality, consciousness and the nature of the soul. They Call us Angels opens the first narrative cycle of the Earthsoul Saga as dark urban fantasy set in the present day. The shared universe is designed on a larger scale, expanding across other worlds, civilisations and eventually cosmic and science-fantasy dimensions. The novel grew from a manuscript draft Guidato had written many years earlier and later returned to and substantially redeveloped. His writing process combines an overarching plan with character-driven decisions, while music and tabletop roleplaying also influence the way scenes and worlds take shape.
