    EARTHSOUL SAGA · CURRENT EDITION

They Call us Angels is now available as a complete novel

They Call us Angels is now available as a complete novel. The current edition presents the story as one continuous book and is the published entry point into the Earthsoul Saga.

Parts of the story were previously released as individual episodes. Those earlier editions may still appear on some bookseller and catalogue pages. For new readers, the complete novel is the current edition and the recommended place to begin.

    • German: available as a Kindle eBook and in print
    • Universe: Earthsoul Saga · first narrative cycle
    • Genre: dark urban fantasy with an expanding science-fantasy horizon

Jonathan wakes in his own grave and is drawn into a hidden order of angels, demons, power and destiny. The more he learns, the harder it becomes to accept that a supposedly higher order should have the right to decide what happens to his life.

What changed from the episodic editions?

The earlier episodes were individual releases of the same underlying story. The current edition is conceived and presented as a complete novel. Older results on Google, Google Books or bookseller sites may therefore still display episode titles, volume numbers or earlier descriptions even though the current publication is structured differently.

Where does the Earthsoul Saga begin?

New readers begin with They Call us Angels, which opens the first narrative cycle of the Earthsoul Saga. The forthcoming They Call us Witches is not Book 2 of that storyline, but a parallel novel exploring the hidden world from another perspective.

EARTHSOUL SAGA · PARALLEL NOVEL · IN DEVELOPMENT

A first look at They Call us Witches

Angels and demons were never the only ones who possessed power.

They Call us Witches is a parallel novel within the Earthsoul Saga. Its story unfolds alongside the events of They Call us Angels, revealing the same hidden world from a new human perspective.

At its centre is Athena – a brilliant neuroscientist and committed atheist. Her research uncovers observations that purely neural models can no longer explain. Rather than turning to faith or inherited mythology, she follows the evidence and encounters a phenomenon that changes her understanding of humanity: the soul as something that can be investigated empirically and may even be usable.

    Science meets hidden power

Athena’s discovery does not go unnoticed. Forces that have long influenced how much humanity is allowed to know about its own nature see her research as a threat. When Athena is attacked, she meets Shibaun – a woman who calls herself a witch and shows her that human power over the soul is not a new idea, but part of a suppressed tradition.

The central question changes with that encounter: what happens when humans no longer accept that angels, demons or other powers should decide what they may know about themselves? Athena wants to understand, measure and reproduce. Shibaun knows that power requires limits as well as skill. A close bond grows between them – alongside a conflict over how far the pursuit of knowledge should go.

Another side of the Earthsoul Saga

    • Dark fantasy and science-fantasy elements from a human perspective
    • Neuroscience, the soul and the question of what consciousness really is
    • Witches as humans who consciously access the power of their own souls
    • Freedom of knowledge, control of power and the ethical limits of research

The novel is currently in development. They Call us Angels remains the published entry point into the Earthsoul Saga; They Call us Witches expands its events through a parallel perspective that may cast familiar developments in a different light.
